Computer Central is proud to announce that our Internet system contains only state-of-the-art equipment. Your Internet service is only as good as the equipment purchased by the provider. CCIA has spared no expense to bring you the best service by using the very best machinery available. CCIA's Internet connection is classified as a T-1 high-speed specialized phone line capable of supporting up to 600 modems. This connection is received by CCIA on a Kentrox Dserve CSU/DSU.  In addition, CCIA is powered by a Sun Sparc-5 with 64 megabytes of RAM and 6 gigabytes of hard drive storage. This system is running the Linux Operating System RedHat Distribution. Our Sun system uses a Cisco 4700 router with 32 megabytes of RAM, 10 USRobotics Total Control Netserver Hubs each capable of 48 - 56K dialin connections. In short, our system is truly top-of-the-line -- and we are proud of it. Other providers running on PCs with a slow 56k phone line to connect to the Internet are simply cutting corners, and their customers are unfortunately faced with poor performance and incomplete service. If you are unsure about your provider before you join, ask to see their facilities. See if they compare to CCIA's. We are very confident in our providership and would welcome the opportunity to show you are facility.
